Dying For EverestIn May 2006 New Zealander, Mark Ingles, became the first double amputee to summit Mount Everest. But when he descended he was greeted not with a heroes welcome but by media condemnation. Their team had passed Briton David Sharp near the summit. Severely frostbitten on one of the coldest days ever experienced on Everest, Ingles’ team were unable to rescue Sharp. A one hour international television documentary ‘Dying for Everest’ tells for the first time what happened that day on the roof of the world. Balance Vector Productions has co-produced multiple award winning ‘Dying for Everest’ with NZ-based company, Making Movies Ltd.
